General Description

The Water Pump is a tool used to turn water in your vessel into harmless steam! It can be bought in the Voyagers Catalog for 5,500 gold. Like all equipment items purchased can be selected as your starting item when starting a game. The Water Pump can be used in flooded rooms by spam clicking to remove water. A Water Pump is able to counter the equivalent of 3 medium-sized holes.

Comparison

The Water Pump is best used when in a biome whose water has dangerous properties, such as the Infected Depths or the Volcanic Depths, when the submarine is parked to an Expedition location but the vessel is too flooded to allow for proper repairs, or to be used in quick bursts while manning a Console or moving to fight an invader or repair a hole, to slow down the flooding of the ship. As it's unable to attack, the Water Pump is better used as a secondary item or as a primary item in large, well organized crews.
