Dunwich Horror
Health(int.) ???
Biome The Meteor
Appearance Interior

The Dunwich Horror is an uncommon enemy found in The Meteor.

Description[edit | edit source]

The Dunwich Horror, a monstrous abomination made of intertwined flesh and muscle, held tightly to contain a twitching mass of guts and organs inside itself, and the squirming masses of bloodied tendrils that flail madly from every exposed orifice, as if even its own interior was attempting to escape their endless torment. Dragging itself around with blood-tainted tentacles emerging from underneath the creature, and periodically stopping as its body spasms and contracts to release its unholy spawn unto the world, perhaps it would be but a merciful act to put an end to its torturous existence.

Behavior[edit | edit source]

Should the Submarine ever make contact with an Interdimensional Tear created after the destruction of an Eldritch Pyramid, the Dunwich Horror may make its way inside. Once within, they will mindlessly drag themselves around, while periodically stopping to spew Horror Spawns from their top, in a constant cycle of agonizing replication. Should they be left alive, they will quickly infest the vessel with their offspring, and it will be increasingly difficult to kill these hideous abominations.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Like most monsters encountered inside the Meteor, the Dunwich Horror is based on the entities from the Cthulhu mythos of the same name.
  • Madness affliction causes visions of this creature to appear near player. But it doesn't move or produce offspring, unlike real one.
