This is the uncommon variant of the Angler Fish. It is easily distinguishable from the normal angler fish by the light that shines orange/yellow, rather than white, as well as its pale, unhealthy colour and the multiple little Baby Lampreys parasitizing it.
Behavior[edit | edit source]
The Sick Anglerfish has the same behavior as the healthy variant. Although its small health pool and slow speed may make this creature seem less dangerous, when it's killed, 5 Baby Lampreys will emerge from its carcass and attempt to break through the Hull, which can pose a serious threat if the Submarine has low health, as the Baby parasites will easily breach the vessel, dealing large damage and often quickly flooding the submarine, as they will open multiple small holes along the walls.
Tactics[edit | edit source]
It is generally advisable to simply flee from this enemy, as killing it is more dangerous than simply letting it be. If the gunner is experienced, however, it can shoot the Angler Fish down and afterwards use a torpedo to quickly dispose of the Baby Lampreys. Otherwise, the Submarine's EMP can be used to neutralize the entirety of the threat, but will leave the vessel open to attacks for a short while and will make so you will have to wait for the EMP to recharge to use it again, which can be problematic in case of an emergency.
