The Barnacle Shark is a removed enemy that used to be found in the Infected Depths. It was removed due to being a placeholder and was replaced by the Barnacle Biter.

The Barnacle Shark is a shark that has been completely inundated with barnacles. Though some marine animals do often possess barnacle on their skin in reality, only several shark species have been documented with barnacles on their skin, all of them being small, bioluminescent, squaloid sharks. The reason most other sharks are immune to barnacles is because of their skin. Sharks are covered in special toothlike structures that act as scales called "dermal denticles" literally translated as skin teeth. They allow the shark to slip through the water quickly and silently through the water, as well as giving the shark protection from most skin parasites and even against potential enemies.

The Barnacle Shark is believed to have acted similarly to the Shark or the Barnacle Biter.
