The Horror Spawn is a common enemy found in The Meteor.
Description[ | ]
Horrendous births from the Dunwich Horror, the Horror Spawns are mindless fiends made purely of intertwined filaments of muscle and flesh, holding together a few red, blank eyes. Continuously created and released from the Dunwich Horror in a constant agonizing cycle, there is no telling how such a being could even survive, much less come to existance, but that does little to douse the mindless abaddon with which these wretched monsters attack anything that stands in their line of sight, unaware or indifferent about their short, ephemeral lives.
Behavior[ | ]
Should the Submarine ever make contact with an Interdimensional Tear created after the destruction of an Eldritch Pyramid, the Dunwich Horror may make its way inside. Once within, they will mindlessly drag themselves around, while periodically stopping to spew Horror Spawns from their top, in a constant cycle of agonizing replication. Although the Horror Spawns are very weak and can quickly be killed, should you not dispatch of the Dunwich Horror, the Spawns will replace their numbers quicker than you can kill them, eventually overwhelming you.
Trivia[ | ]
- Like most monsters encountered inside the Meteor, the Dunwich Horror is based on the entities from the Cthulhu mythos of the same name.
